About Me

Hi,

I am a student on an MA in Professional Writing, having just completed a BA (Hons) in Literature. I have always wanted to write for a living, but as it does, life changed the signal posts for me along the way. So I decided to take a year out from the nine to five and throw myself into writing.

I have always loved poetry, and remember attempting to write it from a very young age. I often use images from nature or different objects, to illustrate the way we all see and experience things. I have recently started writing some children's poetry which I am really enjoying.

Through a Glass Darkly is about looking at the world in a different way through poetry. We all begin to 'look through the glass darkly' as we go through life - we throw away our childish things. We can all see things through the glass in a slightly different way, but we are all looking through it and attempting to make sense of what we see and experience.

I believe that poetry explores emotions, ideas, thoughts and experiences in a way that almost refuses to be contained. For me, poetry is as close to reality as I can get through writing. However; I definitely have an undying love for the written word in all of its glorious forms!

Thanks for looking, and hope you enjoy the blog.
